From Greg: The phone rang on a random Sunday, late summer. The conversation went something like this:

Bret: “Hey Greg this is Bret from Phil Lesh & Friends! You won the I-Pod! Congratulations!”
GD: “Who, what!?!? I won what?”
Bret: “Yeah man, you won the I-Pod from the Reddy Challenge!”
GD: “Wait a minute; I won the I-Pod? Are you serious?”
Bret: “Yeah, Phil drew your name out of the hat during the 10,000 Lakes Show!”
GD: “Hold on, Phil drew my name? I won the I-Pod? I won the I-Pod!!!”
Bret: “Congratulations man!”
GD: In the background jumping up and down and letting out a couple of whoo-hoos.

Needless to say I was shocked and thrilled. A couple weeks prior to that, my MP3 player broke, so to win this killer I-Pod with all of the Phil & Friends summer shows on it, was perfect. There are a couple of things that are automatic at all of the Phil & Friends shows I’ve ever been to. 1. They sound great. 2. Everyone on stage is having fun (which is contagious). That certainly rings true for all of the summer shows on the I-Pod. The band is rockin’, they are having fun and the audience is enjoying the party.

Thanks to Phil, the band and the crew for putting on such a great tour! Thanks to Phil, the band, Bret (for hooking up everything on the I-Pod) and Craig (for the killer case cover and package insert – nice touch!) for the I-Pod. I am forever grateful.
